VOICES

Making Young Researchers’ Voices Heard for Gender Equality

Project Description

VOICES was a COST Action project that aimed to increase the visibility of inequalities faced by early career researchers from a gender perspective, and to promote a sustainable dialogue between ECRs and stakeholders in the research ecosystem across Europe and beyond.

The Professorship of Higher Education was engaged in the Working Group 2 “Leadership & Decision-Making”. The WG seeked to gather best practices that work towards an integration of ECRs in decision-making bodies and to change the discussion culture in decision-making committees in order to ensure efficient and impactful engagement of ECRs in dialogue and negotiations. The members of the WG2 gathered primary and secondary data which were linked to the representation and the rights of ECRs in the decision-making bodies. Moreover a white paper and other publications were created by the members.
