Lina Tönnes studied economics at TU Dortmund University, majoring in marketing as well as technology and innovation management. She spent her semester studying abroad at Karlstad University in Sweden. During her studies, she gained work experience across multiple industries, such as transport and communication, where she developed expertise in marketing, organisation and innovation management. Additionally, she worked as a student assistant at the Professorship of Higher Education at TU Dortmund University. After graduating, Lina Tönnes worked in different positions, including project assistant at TU Dortmund University and management consultant in the areas of digitalisation, innovation and customer processes. Her latest position was head of customer business development at a strategy consultancy.
