Project findings on governance structures in German private higher education institutions were presented and discussed at the 42nd EGOS Colloquium 2026.

Anna-Lena Rose, Liudvika Leišytė, and Melanie Hummitzsch presented project findings on governance structures in German private higher education institutions at this year’s EGOS (European Group for Organizational Studies) online Colloquium.

Their paper “Boards in the Context of Private Higher Education”, which focuses on the types, roles, and social composition of boards in German private higher education, was vividly discussed by fellow researchers in the sub-theme on Universities in Transition.

The findings from the ELLpH project contribute to a better understanding of governance arrangements in German private higher education and provide new insights into a still underexplored European research context.
