COVID-19 and the Digital Transformation of Higher Education Institutions
Yvette Hofmann will be providing insights into her research on the Digital Transformation of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In her talk, Professor Hofmann will present empirical results from her recent study with more than 3,800 university professors and focus on HEIs' rapid exogenous digitization surge due to the outbreak of the corona pandemic in 2020.
Yvette Hofmann is a senior researcher at the Bavarian State Institute for Higher Education Research and Planning (IHF), Munich. She has her academic roots at the Institute for Leadership and Organization, Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU). During her university education (Business Administration, Psychology), she already took an interest in corporate culture's peculiarities, change management, and employee motivation at non-profit organizations. Several research sabbaticals took her to the University of British Columbia, Vancouver/Canada. She also has been accompanying universities in their transformation processes for many years. In addition to job satisfaction and resilience research in the Higher Education context, her research focuses on universities' digital transformation.
