Intersectionality in Teaching and Learning
Project Description
The project focuses on challenge-based learning to unpack the diversity management related issues faced by managers in various sectors. Taking into account the heterogeneity of bachelor students at TU Dortmund, the project aims at developing intersectionality awareness and 21st century skills among students of the lecture 'Diversity and Inclusion Management' at the Department of Business and Economics.
The project pursues the following aims:
- creation of an inventory of current research findings on intersectionality in learning spaces,
- the creation of a database of challenges related to intersectionality in different types of organizations,
- the creation of a digital learning environment to illustrate these challenges,
- the implementation of challenge-based learning in the learning space through project and group work, and
- the redesign of the digital exam to take into account situated intersectionality.
For this purpose, the Professorship of Higher Education closely cooperates with partners within the Department of Business and Economics as well as the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering at TU Dortmund University.
