Harvard University Webinar 'The Academic Profession in the Knowledge-Based Societies'

The webinar 'Academic Profession in Knowledge-Based Societies – Global Perspectives' is part of the seminar sponsored by the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard University 'Universities: Past, Present, and Future', which seeks to connect scholars and students from Harvard and beyond with interest in higher education research.

Prof. Liudvika Leišytė was invited to participate in the panel discussion of the Mahindra Seminar on 3 November that focuses on global perspectives of the academic profession in the knowledge-based societies. The panellists from Canada, Germany, Poland, Argentina and Finland will discuss international and comparative research findings from the APIKS project (Academic Profession in the Knowledge-Based Society).

Prof. Leisyte will reflect on the Agency of Academic Staff in the Transformation of University Governance, referring to her research on governance and academic work in the past decade as well as the key findings from the Lithuanian country study of the APIKS project. She will also draw on the contributions of a special issue on the APIKS project that she recently co-edited.
