Prof. Liudvika Leišytė inducted into the Academia Europaea

Prof. Liudvika Leišytė (3rd from left) was inducted into the Academia Europaea at the annual conference of the Academy "Building Bridges 2023" at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich.
At the annual meeting of the Academia Europaea, Prof. Leišytė was introduced as a new member of the Academy.

The ceremony to introduce the new members at the annual meeting of the Academia Europaea took place in the evening of 10 October 2023, where Prof. Leišytė was officially welcomed as a member of the prestigious Academy of Europe.

Prof. Leišytė is deeply honored to have been elected to the Academy and perceives the membership as an extraordinary distinction of her academic achievements.

The annual meeting of the Academia Europaea "Building Bridges 2023" took place at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich and offered an impressive series of lectures by international experts on topics from the entire intellectual spectrum of the Academy. Prof. Leišytė is excited to be a part of this community and is looking forward to the scientific exchange with the Academy members.

Academia Europaea is a European, non-governmental association acting as an Academy whose members are elected based on their excellent track record following nomination from the academic community and a rigorous peer review based selection process. The primary criterion for membership is 'sustained academic excellence in the candidate's field'.
