Panourgias Papaioannou receives Future Scouts Fellowship

The Future Scouts initiative is a fellowship program funded by the Reinhard Frank Foundation and the Stifterverband as part of the Future Mission Education initiative (Zukunftsmission Bildung). It offers young scientists the opportunity to play a visible role in innovation processes and to strengthen the future viability of the German higher education system through their own initiatives.

We warmly congratulate our research assistant Panourgias Papaioannou! He has been selected as one of only six fellows for this year – and the sole recipient from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia – for the second cohort of the prestigious Future Scouts Fellowship program 2025/2026.

We are happy about the opportunity given to Panourgias through this fellowship, awarded by the Reinhard Frank Foundation and the Stifterverband, to delve into the extent to which current university evaluation mechanisms align with the strategic expectations of international actors. His aim is to contribute to the development of future-proof performance indicators in higher education governance. As part of the fellowship, he will have the opportunity to present his research findings at several academic conferences, including the University:Future Festival.
