The HdHf team provided a number of contributions to the 47th Annual Forum of the European Higher Education Society (EAIR) from 27 to 28 August at Utrecht University.

In their joint paper 'External governance of private universities in Germany', Anna-Lena Rose and Prof. Liudvika Leišytė presented first results of the sub-project 1 of the BMFTR research project 'Influencing factors of new teaching and learning concepts at private higher education institutions – ELLpH.'

Panourgias Papaioannou served as track chair for the Research Policy section. This track discussed key issues surrounding open science, research evaluation, scientific integrity, and new recognition and career paths in science.
In addition, Panourgias Papaioannou gave a presentation with the title 'Digitalizing academic performance appraisal: Rethinking the Bouckaert and Halligan model in an era of openness.'

Prof. Leišytė and our visiting researcher Dr. Johanna Witte presented a co-authored paper entitled 'Regulating the digital transformation of assessment in higher eucation: Lessons from Bavaria.'

The EAIR Forum 2025 was dedicated to the theme 'Openness: a Mission Challenged' and provided an excellent platform to discuss the Professorship's research findings on higher education policy and management.
