2026 EAIR Outstanding Paper Award

Dr. Anna-Lena Rose was honored with the 2026 Outstanding Paper Award at the 48th EAIR Forum.

We are delighted that our colleague, Dr. Anna-Lena Rose, is the recipient of the 2026 EAIR Outstanding Paper Award for her paper entitled: “Investigating the Role of Motivation and Agency in the Emergence of Interdisciplinary Structures”.

In her paper, she investigated how particular configurations of motivation and interdisciplinary engagement contribute to the emergence of interdisciplinary structures. The paper proposes a typology of change agents for interdisciplinarity, and further demonstrates that agency for interdisciplinarity does not (solely) depend on formal authority positions, but is dispersed across different actors, including early-career researchers.
