Digital Platforms in Higher Education Human Resource Management

The use of digital platforms in higher education is steadily increasing. For what purposes are they used in human resource management at universities? And how could the usage of digital platforms affect the administrative systems and processes of universities?

In her latest book chapter “Digital platforms and their usage in higher education human resource management”, Liudvika Leišytė takes a critical look at the goals, services, and financing models of platforms that offer human resource management services to higher education institutions. Based on an extensive literature review, she characterizes the relevant platforms and analyzes them in terms of the concept of “platform capitalism”.
