Contributions to the RESUP 2025 Conference and the 14th EUREDOCS Conference

At the RESUP Conference, Prof. Leišytė and Anna-Lena Rose presented selected results of the project ELLpH – Influencing factors on new teaching-learning concepts at private universities.
In another RESUP presentation, Sude Pekşen and Prof. Leišytė addressed the question of how public and private universities in Germany use digital recruitment measures to attract students.
The EUREDOCS Conference 2025 was a great opportunity for Nina Bieling and Panourgias Papaioannou to get feedback on their PhD related papers.
In his contribution titled “The impact of digital technologies on academic staff appraisal systems. Cases of the German and Dutch higher education institutions,” Panourgias Papaioannou investigates how the digitalization of performance appraisal is changing universities from the inside out.
Nina Bieling presented her work “Evolution of third-party funding and institutional expectations in German HEIs.” The study investigates how the acquisition of third-party funding by universities in North Rhine-Westphalia has evolved between 2011 and 2022 and how expectations to acquire such funding are communicated to academics by the university management.
Both conferences provided an excellent opportunity to discuss current research topics of the Professorship of Higher Education with colleagues from across Europe.
