The Professorship of Higher Education started two new projects: INTERSECT – Intersectionality in teaching and learning & DiveHack – Diversity competence through PBL and hackathons.

The INTERSECT project focuses on challenge-based learning to unpack the diversity management related issues faced by managers in various sectors. Taking into account the heterogeneity of bachelor students at TU Dortmund, the project aims at developing intersectionality awareness and 21st century skills among students of the lecture 'Diversity and Inclusion Management' at the Department of Business and Economics.

More about the INTERSECT project

In the DiveHack project, students acquire practical skills in the area of diversity and inclusion by combining problem-based learning (PBL) with a hackathon format. In teams, students develop specific solutions for real challenges provided by external cooperation partners from industry and the public sector.

Both projects are funded by the Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre as part of the Freiraum 2025 funding line.
