HdHf at the GfHf Annual Conference in Hagen

The HdHf team provided a number of contributions to the 19th annual conference of the Society for Higher Education Research (GfHf) from 23 to 25 September in Hagen:

Paper presentation:
In their paper 'External governance of private universities in Germany', Anna-Lena Rose and Prof. Liudvika Leišytė presented first results of the sub-project 1 of the BMBF research project 'Influencing factors of new teaching and learning concepts at private higher education institutions – ELLpH'.

Poster presentations:
Julia Mergner, Joana Eichhorn, Liudvika Leišytė and Lukas Wojarski presented first findings from the research project on the effectiveness of digital labs 'DigiMatLabExam – Digital materials labs in courses and as an e-exam format' funded by the German Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education.
With his poster entitled 'The emergence of digital academic performance appraisal in higher education institutions: a literature review', Panourgias Papaioannou presented first insights from his doctoral dissertation.

Workshop at the HoFoNa Day:
On HoFoNa Day, Anna-Lena Rose led the workshop for early career researchers in higher education research (HoFoNa) on the topic of 'Field access in qualitative research – challenges and strategies'.

Farewell to the HoFoNa Board:
Sude Pekşen said her farewell to the HoFoNa Board, which she joined in 2020. Among other things, she was responsible for the Ideas Forum at the annual conference of the GfHf, the HoFoNa Day and the HoFoNa scholarship for the SRHE International Conference. Sude Pekşen has also represented HoFoNa on the board of the German Society for Higher Education Research 2021–2023.
