Liudvika Leišytė appointed as ZEvA Accreditation Agency's Supervisory Board Member

The State University Rectors' Conference of Lower Saxony has appointed Prof. Liudvika Leišytė to ZEvA's highest supervisory body.

One of Prof. Leišytė's main areas of research is quality assurance at universities. She is already a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education in the Republic of Lithuania. She has now also been appointed by the State University Rectors’ Conference of Lower Saxony as a member of the Supervisory Council of the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency in Lower Saxony (ZEvA).

The Supervisory Board of ZEvA appoints the Executive Board and the members of the ZEvA Commission (ZEKo) and the Standing Evaluation Commission (SEK). It also receives the Executive Board's accountability report, makes decisions on its discharge and approves the respective business plan. In addition, the Supervisory Board decides on general strategic issues of the Foundation.

The members are appointed by the State University Rectors’ Conference of Lower Saxony (LHK) in agreement with the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony (MWK). Prof. Leišytė will serve as a member of the ZEvA Supervisory Board for a period of 5 years.
